Biased Thoughts: AEW Dynamite #212

MJF vs Juice Robinson for the AEW Dynamite Diamond Ring (***1/4) I just don´t like MJF doing Hogan´s impression but even with that shit the match was good. The promo after was weak but then we got a blockbuster announcement where MJF will face Kenny Omega for the AEW World Championship, this match feels big and is mainly because we are talking about the two AEW World Champions with the longest reings in history.
RVD & HOOK vs Dark Order (***) Watching RVD doing wild shit is fun. This tag team is working but this type of acts are great to loose to the team you want to push. I would pitch some matches for RVD in singles mainly vs Konosuke Takeshita and the one I would do ASAP is a match vs Kenny Omega. Fun spectacle.
Tony Khan gave Sting a gift and the gift was the alleged sexual harasser Ric Flair that even when is a pivotal figure in Sting carreer I just hope is this segment and that´s it. Also this show coming from showcasing RVD to Ric Flair to then teasing Paul Wight for a match vs Hobbs and then The Hardy´s music sounds… I know they are gonna be used to put over someone but don´t fill your program with them because your show will feel old. Obviously we are far from the show to feel like fully leaning into that type of booking but keep it to a minimum.
Hangman Page & The Young Bucks vs The Hardy´s & Brother Zay (***1/4) Maybe is time to get Hangman not completely out but not in like a weekly basis if we are booking The Elite this way. Need Hangman to be a kick ass babyface… Maybe this HungBucks deal is not what he needs right now or at least is not what he needs in a week to week basis to regain the world beater aura he had during his feud vs Mox earlier this year.
Kazuchika Okada & Orange Cassidy vs Bryan Danielson & Claudio Castagnoli (***3/4) Match was phenomenal and the crowd appreciated it. I think this is the unofficial buildup to Kazuchika Okada vs Bryan Danielson at the Tokyo Dome and that sounds amazing, also build another Championship match for Orange Cassidy that I bet will be phenomenal. Strong main event.
Rating Of The Show: 6/10
A weak show saved by some segments like Omega and Joe face off with MJF and the main event that presented some of the best wrestlers in the world having an awesome tag match. This show overused old past their prime wrestlers, AEW shows have usually let´s young/new guys have their time but this one wasn´t that. No Takeshita, No García are my main issues because they really need TV time/matches to get over and they aren´t having that.
