Rey Fénix vs Nick Jackson for the AEW International Championship (****) I expected a great spotfest with interesting exchanges and I got them. Great way to open the show.
MJF and Adam Cole skits SUCK, I´m tired of them. Someone can get the Championship off MJF?
The Acclaimed vs Kip Sabian and The Butcher & The Blade for the AEW Trios Championships (**1/4) Meh and didn´t had an angle LMAO. Whatever
A shit ton of pretapes, this time it was too much LMAO. Toni´s skits was a bit better but to much damn pretapes.
Bullet Club Gold is in the ring and they want answers from MJF about the attack, MJF now is actively bad in the mic because there´s zero substance this man just do catchphrases and 90% of them are lame, the segment got better when Jay White did the Blade Runner to the Champion and gave a good promo challenging for the AEW World Championship.
Kenny Omega & Chris Jericho vs Konosuke Takeshita & Kyle Fletcher (***3/4) FINALLY SOME SERIOUS FUCKING WRESTLING IN THIS SHOW. This was a great wrestling match, with fantastic exchanges between the four and a great performance by Kyle Fletcher in this spot. I think The Callis Famiy will betray United Empire at some point in the future.
I think MJF and The Acclaimed will team together vs Bullet Club Gold on the build to Full Gear. That would be good TV.
Toni Storm vs Skye Blue (**1/2) Was decent and Storm actually made me laugh. Maybe some overacting here and there but yeah, this was solid.
Next week´s card looks beautiful, and the matche we didn´t get now we definitavely will have it next week. Also Collision that will have FTR vs Ricky Starks & Big Bill.
Time for the Rated R Superstar, and this first segment delivered a lot by not saying much. Christian Cage 2023 version is like Lionel Messi in the 2022 World Cup, just having fantastic stuff while elevating people and telling interesting stories and listen he says silly shit like the dead fathers but is not only funny but heats a segment and a match as well. Just fantastic work.
Rating of the Show: 6/10
Weakest show in a long time. The structure of the show was all over the place with too many pretapes as well that the pretapes haven´t worked for me for like a month, this one was bad. It advanced a lot of storylines and bits that will work really well in the build to the matches, maybe some of them weren´t that heated but when you think about it has a really high ceiling like Hobbs joining the Callis Family. Next week is MUST SEE, I don´t think they will beat NXT but the card is logical to the storylines something that I was concerned about, good decision by Khan.
