Jon Moxley vs Big Bill for the AEW International Championship (NR) I couldn´t watch the match but I heard it was fun.
Takeshita and Callis next target is Kota Ibushi, I think this will be a WrestleDream match and I CAN´T WAIT.
Toni Storm vs Britt Baker vs Saraya vs Nyla Rose for a AEW Women´s World Championship match at Grand Slam (**3/4) I think some of this people need a break, but hell I would not pretend to care about a storyline where the Champion is Saraya, what a stupid fucking decision.
Le Sex Gods segment and I´m sorry but Im not that excited. This story has been teased for years. I don´t know, I think the match will be good but whatever comes after the match is interesting.
Hangman Page vs Brian Cage (***3/4) Best match and best segment of the show, finally we see Hangman week to week in AEW programming with contunuity after the Mox program and Swerve has been good here. Strickland vs Page is booked for WrestleDream and will be fantastic.
Jade Cargill vs Kris Statlander booked for Rampage… WOW
Darby Allin & Nick Wayne vs 2.0 (***1/4) Good tag match, liked the structure and specially Darby´s hot tag. After the match Christian was great challenging Darby and Sting to a tag match for Arthur Ashe. Good stuff.
Samoa Joe vs Roderick Strong (***3/4) Very good main event and we have our challenger for Grand Slam, MJF vs Samoa Joe is the main event and I think we are in for a classic specially in Arthur Ashe that even if it is the least attended Grand Slam it will still look good.
Rating of the Show: 7/10
Very decent show, first hour was really meh and even if Takeshita is my favorite wrestler in AEW and I love they are pushing him I would like something more cooler in this segments, Callis had showed us he can deliver great pretapes and Takeshita doing promos in japanese with subtitles would be great. Two really good matches and some well done segments, really like how they are building some of this feuds. One of my issues is the lack of Omega, hopefully he is there for the buildup of Takeshita vs Ibushi.
Extra Notes:
- For some reason I do not see Sammy as a top star as well that the competition for main event spots is not easy, far from it.
- Takeshita vs Ibushi is an awesome match.
- Samoa Joe has been pushed and I´m glad, all timer wrestler.
