Orange Cassidy vs AR Fox for the International Championship (****1/4) A clinic of selling between high risk moves and sequences. AR Fox delivers again and Orange Cassidy has had an spectacular run, the International Championship will carry a lot of prestige going forward.
A lot of things happened after this match, the mini buildup for the main event was great, with Moxley attacking OC and the threatening PAC and Lucha Bros to do the same. This was really well done.
Jack Perry´s promo was good, Lynn wrestling is odd but we will see.
PAC vs Gravity (***) Fine match, Gravity wasn´t a home run but hey it was fun seeing PAC´s more comedic style of match.
Swerve Strickland vs Darby Allin (****) Swerve vs Darby now is a classic rivalry that everytime that is in the card delivers what we expect out of both top class wrestlers. Now you add an exciting angle after the match that will build to more heated promos and more matches, that´s a win.
Britt Baker D.M.D vs Taya Valkyrie (**1/4) Baker really needed a win and she had her win, let´s see what they do. Shida will have a match too, maybe they will do a 3-way for the AEW Women´s World Championship next week.
BCC (Mox & Castagnoli) vs Lucha Bros vs Best Friends (***3/4) Fun match the builds to next week 3-way that I really think will be violent. The BCC is loosing and Danielson watching from afar maybe won´t like that.
Rating of the Show: 8/10
This show was really good, all the pretapes, promos and matches worked to build for the future that is All In. I didn´t liked that The Elite and Konosuke Takeshita didn´t appear even on a fucking pretape but Khan doesn´t know how to manage follow ups. Nest week will be a big one, with Jericho maybe saying goodbye to his own cult to take the train of the Callis Family who´s leader has just destroyed his longtime friend and left his stable where he was the leader in DDT. Shit is getting serious with Konouke and Don Callis. The first 30 minutes were fantastic in booking, a lot of matches will result from those post match segments.
Extra Notes:
- Listen I wanted AEW to build All In as their Wrestlemania or WrestleKingdom but since it was announced they would do back to back PPV´s I know I wouldn´t like how they would build one of the biggest wrestling shows of all time. I accept it but for me is a miss.
- Better Than You Bay Bay vs FTR feels like a huge match and it will be huge, we will know what´s the main event for All In will be.
- Takeshita vs Omega and Kingston vs Moxley been the matches rumored for All In sounds at the level of Big Stadium Show, hope both happen.
