Jon Moxley vs Tomohiro Ishii (****1/4) This was absolutely fantastic opener. Hard hitting action all over this match and with a really great cameo of Kinston interacting with Mox and Claudio. Great match.
MJF and Adam Cole interactions have been funnier week by week and the storyline between Mox, Eddie and Claudio is really interesting, KEEP IT GOING.
Orange Cassidy, Keith Lee & El Hijo del Vikingo vs Daniel García & 2.0 (***1/2) Really sloppy but really fun as well, Keith Lee was great, the best he has looked in a while, Vikingo got time to do a lot of crazy shit and Orange was always entertaining. García dance is also really good and over. A really good six man tag.
Hangman Page & The Young Bucks vs The Dark Order (***1/4) A bit long but very good six man tag that I think close the chapter between Dark Order and Hangman. The angle after the match was everything it needed to be, heated and violent as well to announce the Blood & Guts match for Boston in 3 weeks, that will be INCREDIBLE.
Ruby Soho´s squash was whatever but the promo afterwards was really good, basically shitting on Baker for been sick and added a bit of heat to their match.
Sting & Darby Allin vs “The Painmaker” Chris Jericho & Sammy Guevara in a Texas Tornado tag match (***1/2) This star rating is 100% on Sting and his crazyness, what a wild old man. What I think it would be and I think even better than I expected. Beast match.
Rating of the Show: 7.5/10
Incredible match to open the show and with a lot of story progression the best been Mox and Eddie interactions as well that finally we can close the chapter between Hangman Page and the Dark Order. JungleBoy Jack Perry promo was really generic and bland, at least Hook is doing something more substantial. Good show.
Extra Notes:
- Sting in his old man rus has been fantastic and one of the main reasons AEW has been great.
- Jericho vs Guevara I think will be a really good feud, just doesn´t need to go too long so the pay off and follow up can feel hot.
- Hangman Page and the Dark Order did a hell of a job for all involved and created some of the best moments in AEW history, this was a good way to end this chapter for Page.
- Jack Perry will be fine but I need more sustantial stuff in the future.
