Orange Cassidy vs Swerve Strickland for the International Championship (****) Took some time to get going but when they started the sick bumps everything started to go up, great chemistry and callbacks. Great stuff and the crowd was fantastic.
BCC vs CHAOS (***1/2) Really fun stuff between this six, the BCC six man matches are one of the main dishes AEW has to offer and are always a treat.
MJF was interrupted by Adam Cole, what is hilarious and even ironic is that MJF´s AEW World Championship reign is been carried by his matches because the build ups have been repetetive or downright bad with long ass promos where no one looked good aside of like Sting, Starks and some Danielson segments. Hopefully this is a feud that will have the match in Collision because this can´t main event All In.
Jack Perry & HOOK vs Dralístico & Perro Peligroso in a Texas Tornado Tag match (***1/4) Fun, short and bloody. This was better than I expected because I don´t had the biggest hype for a Perro and Dralístico match but this was good.
Don Callis & Konosuke Takeshita segment:
Kris Statlander vs Anna J.A.S for the TBS Championship (***) Fun match with Statlander carrying but Anna´s best match since the tag team deathmatch.
Jay White vs Ricky Starks (***1/4) This match was reaaaaally slooooow at the start, Jay White was wrestling like he was going 40 and Ricky was fine but no electric like in other matches, I appreciate the stiffness, the nearfalls as well as the counters. But I expect something much better in their next match. Could have been better.
Rating of the Show: 7.5/10
First hour was MUCH better than the second one and even if I understand they didn´t want to put the heavy stuff because NBA and Vanderpump will murder them head to head I needed a bit more sustantial stuff. MJF left me sour once again after praising him for a great defense of the Championship. Next week hopefully is better, the card looks outstanding, specially the trios match between HungBucks vs BCC.
Extra Notes:
- Is time for Takeshita to enter the ring with a new theme song, they should call the guys who made his entrance theme in DDT, I bet he would cook something great.
- This is a definition of a set up show for next week.
- Jay White, Samoa Joe & Juice Robinson vs CM Punk & FTR I think will rule.
- Swerve and Cassidy feud continues, we will see how it goes. I think Swerve will win th belt in a match with a stip.
