Biased Thoughts: AEW Dynamite #184

Darby Allin vs Swerve Strickland (NR) I couldn´t see the complete match but I saw some highlights and shit looked crazy. I finally was able to start the show and just when the promo of MJF with Darby was starting and this was great, more to the point and not much of the “Ra Ra Ra oh looked I swear, Oh looked I´m shooting” heavy promos that have been the main issue with the Pillars promos in this feud. Then Sting appeared and showed the bullshit from Max talking about Cody was the main support of MJF. Great stuff from this guys.
Powerhouse Hobbs vs Silas Young for the TNT Championship (SQUASH) This was a squatsh match and whatever, the angle with Wardlow destroying Hobbs´s car was hilarious because Hobbs just shrug it off LMAO. Then they brawled and Solo ended paying Hobb´s heel tactics. This should have me excited but meh, I guess we will have to see how they do it and who wins because sincerely I don´t want to see Wardlow with the TNT Championship in a long time.
Jay White is here and did his introduction promo as well of presenting the new Bullet Club Gold, will be the Bullet Club branch in AEW. We will have to see when and where they do Starks vs White. Really hyped for this.
Orange Cassidy vs Buddy Matthews for the AEW International Championship (***3/4) The selling of this match was incredible and another hilarious match that shows Orange Cassidy as a very old school worker. Best Buddy Matthews match in AEW. Orange Cassidy´s 19th defense of the AEW All Atlantic/International Championship.
Ethan Page is in the ring whining that he got bitched by Hook. Then Matt Hardy said that he is out of The Firm and then Jeff Hardy appeared and I don´t care about this.
Blackpool Combat Club vs Cutler & Nakazawa (SQUASH) This was great, this geeks been brave and dying for the honor of their friends was a good way to get into the angle and what an angle. The Elite finally answered back and we have some match here. Waiting for this trios match since the start of this feud and now we might have it. This feud has HUGE potential.
Ruby Soho & Toni Storm vs Skye Blue & Riho (NR) Another copy paste angle, this feud might have had some heat after Ruby joined The Outcast but at this point I don´t understand why they are still doing this angle. Third miss in this show.
Chris Jericho vs Keith Lee (***) This was meh to be honest. The angle after the match was the most interesting part of all this with Cole helping Keith after his defeat while Jericho and García were watching from afar. Keith vs Swerve is still active and Jericho vs Cole is been built.
Rating of the Show: 7/10
Eventhought there where some great angles they were misses too. The highlights been The Elite vs BCC angle as well of the promo between MJF, Sting & Darby Allin. There are some feuds that need to get to the point faster and some wrestlers that need to stay away from Championships. Weakest Dynamite in a while, still good.
Extra Notes:
- Very interested in a Cole & Keith vs Jericho & García tag match.
- Claudio, Mox & Yuta vs Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks should be a must next week.
- I expect a hotter crowd next week.
- The addition of Jay White and Takeshita matches in this cards would add a lot, hopefully next week we have them.
- I thin MJF vs Darby Allin singles match should be the main event at DoN, Darby is the most prepared aside of MJF to main event a PPV.
