Biased Thoughts: AEW Dynamite #179

Orange Cassidy vs Jay Lethal for the AEW All Atlantic Championship (***1/4) It was fine I just don´t care much about this feud, hopefully Jarrett vs OC is a match with no rules.
Ricky Starks coming out after beating Jericho CLEAN, the Bullet Club song started and Juice Robinson attacked him with a really nasty move. I´m into it, Juice hasn´t done as well as I thought he would but maybe this feud bring his A game.
Hangman Page with another simple and great promo with Renee, this feud might be an all timer if the next chapter lands, and I think it will.
Ruby Soho vs Skye Blue (***) Solid match but the main thing here is that the “You People” promo actually worked because she got booed vs Statlander last year in the semis of the Owen Hart Tournament. After the match their beat up Willow and Skye Blue, I think the pre and post match segments worked but I really don´t like the spray gimmick should be something more violent. Either way, good stuff.
Chris Jericho, Sammy Guevara & Daniel García vs AR Fox & Top Flight (***1/2) Fun match with Top Flight classic high flying. The angle post match was GREAT setting up The Elite vs HOB vs JAS for the Trios Championships in Winnipeg.
After this match a lot of promos started and we did have some heavy hitters specially Bryan Danielson with a spectacular promo after loosing one of the best matches I´ve ever seen. The segment/promo department have been great in this episode.
Jon Moxley & Claudio Castagnoli vs Silver & Reynolds (***1/4) The matches in this episode were served for an angle afterward and boy what an angle, BCC just turned full heel and beat the shit out of Hangman and the Dark Order, the Dark Order aren´t strong enough to fight the BCC but Hangman has other former friends that from a long time have wanted to repair their relationship, this is peak soup opera and I´m here for it.
Powerhouse Hobbs vs Wardlow in a Falls Count Anywhere match for the TNT Championship (***1/2) I was about to go 4 stars in this match because I love fights between giants specially Hobbs that is great but the ending really took from my enjoyment of the match and the win of one of my favourites in AEW, inecessary to protect Wardlow when they have already protected him when they added the stipulation as well that the execution of QT´s interference was flat. This was a really good match that was affected for overbooking at the end. A shame.

Extra Notes:
- Aside of the ending, this was a really great heavy angles/promo/pretapes episode of Dynamite and this is what AEW really needed.
- Now we have a lot of interesting storylines that can end in some tremendous promos, angles and matches, The Elite vs BCC will be insane, Starks vs Juice and there´s still a lot of things to see like what MJF and Jack Perry will do.
- Really interested on who will face Adam Cole in his comeback.
- This episode felt like a new season and that is great.
