Jon Moxley kickstarts the show and what a way to start with Hangman Adam Page finally back. A great brawl and Moxley left in the heel tunnel. This kind of angles are much needed in AEW. In two words GREAT SHIT.
Bryan Danielson vs Dax Harwood (***3/4) Great physical match with great reversals.
Hangman and Mox are still brawling, this is BEAST.
BCC(?) vs JAS feud still going, don´t care.
Samoa Joe vs AR Fox for the TNT Championship (***1/2) Really fun match. The TNT Championship needs more of this weekly. Wardlow appears on the big entrance screen and we keep building for the singles match between this big motherfuckers. This show has been going straight to the point and that´s great to see.
MJF is the AEW World Heavyweight Champion, this segment was long but it explained a lot of things, set up the main storyline of AEW for I would say Full Gear 2023 and even give you some names that will fight for the Championship. I understand if you didn´t like it, in an MJF promo scale this is a 6/10. The ending was really effective and was greatly put over by the commentary table so yeah. I can´t wait not only for the angles but for the matches too.
Willow Nightingale vs Anna J.A.S (***) Fun match, Willow overness really add to her matches a lot. The women´s division is looking up, hopefully the Saraya stuff and the TBS Championship situation lines up quickly to have a good division.
Jade Cargill celebration time and boy I didn´t care.
The Elite vs Triángulo de la Muerte in the Third match of the Best of 7 Series for the Trios Championships (****) It didn´t reached the level of the previous matches, I mean the first and second matches are MOTYC´s, but still a great main event. The Cleaner prevent the sweep.
Rating of the show: 8/10
Extra Notes:
- Maybe the best set up after a PPV episode in 2022.
- I know the doubts on MJF but he has showed us tremendous TV work for years. I will even say this Championship reign will be his masterpiece.
- The Elite back is so great.
- There wasn´t something really bad on the show, just some things that were meh, but the episode was filled with new programs at every place in the card and that´s great.
- This episode felt like classic AEW, this show is the preparation for the big payoffs during 2023.
