Biased Thoughts: AEW Dynamite #163

Chris Jericho & Sammy Guevara vs Bryan Danielson & Claudio Castagnoli (***3/4) Another really good tag team match between JAS vs BCC, this feud has been very long but the matches have been usually great.
Anthony Bowens vs Swerve Strickland (***1/2) Good match to set up the upcoming tag team championship match. Bowens with the injury arm that will sell like a madman, I expect a tremendous match. The Acclaimed is the best booked tag team champions by Khan since the Bucks in their first reign. Good piece of business.
Triángulo de la Muerte vs Top Flight & AR Fox for the AEW All Atlantic Championship (***1/2) Great match, had some awkward spots but if you are ambitious fuck it, they did some amazing shit. The Elite is back, will be a MOTYC, I´m hyped.
Ethan Page vs Bandido in the Semifinals of the Eliminator Tournament (***1/4) Bandido did some amazing shit and Page was correct. Page is having a good tournament if I been honest.
Toni Storm vs Anna J.A.S in a Eliminator match for a shot for the AEW Interim Women´s World Championship (**1/2) Yeah, not good, but not a disaster. The angle with Hayter after the match was better.
Jon Moxley and MJF go home segment was the weakest of the feud but still had a strong promo by MJF. I think MJF will be a Tetsuya Naito type of character, someone that the crowd loves even if he cheats or use low blows.
Rating of the show: 7.5/10
Extra Notes:
- The show was much better than the previous two weeks.
- The trios matches were needed a lot.
- Top Flight with some more time I think could win the tag team championships.
- The Acclaimed vs SIOG has been a really good feud. Swerve has some things that I don´t really love but he has top heel potential.
- The Elite is back, and that´s great.
- Ricky Starks, Konosuke Takeshita and Powerhouse Hobbs appeared in TV and are booked in great matches. I´m a very happy man.
- This episode was a step to the right direction, Full Gear will have to be a great show and a point of reset after PPV cycles full of disruption and injuries.
