Chris Jericho & Daniel García vs Claudio Castagnoli & Wheeler Yuta… I couldn´t watch the complete match but the final minutes were awesome with Claudio doing his trademark hot tag. This match worked to heat up Claudio and Yuta as well to give a win to the BCC.

The Elite will be back soon and fuck yeah, fucking finally.

Swerve In Our Glory vs FTR in a #1 Contendership Match for the AEW World Tag Team Championships (****1/4) This was GREAT. Not only the way the match was structured with little details specially on Swerve that was the only heel in this match because Dax, Cash and Keith Lee were babyfaces. Just magic.

MJF segment and was great, obviously not at the level of last week all timer promo with Regal but this one had very interesting details, is clear that MJF play games with the audience and this recent discussions with his associate Stokely Hathaway this last few weeks open a lot of options and all of them are great. But one thing is 100% sure this Full Gear main event might be the most unpredictable AEW World Championship match behind Punk vs Hangman at Double Or Nothing this year. Great shit.

Bryan Danielson vs Sammy Guevara (****) Bryan and flippy guys are a combination that I don´t think we have seen to much in AEW but this match showed us that the ceiling is really high. Maybe Sammy best match in 2022 behind the three way TNT Championship match vs Darby Allin and Andrade in Rampage earlier this year. Sammy looked great and lost nothing loosing vs Bryan.

Riho vs Jamie Hayter (***3/4) The streak continues with very good women´s wrestling. It wasn´t at the level of last year´s match but still is one of the best women´s match in AEW this year. Jamie Hayter won and that´s great, it looks like she will be the one to have the Women´s World Championship match at Full Gear and I couldn´t be happier.

Jon Moxley vs Penta El Zero Miedo for the AEW World Championship (***1/2) Had his moments but I expected something much better and not using blood as well as not been an all out brawl is a weird decision because this two are between the best brawlers in the planet, still good main event. The postmatch was great to put The Firm over and also worked to turn MJF as a babyface for now, this mfer had swerved us before so there´s a chance this is all a very evil elaborate plan. Great booking and storytelling.

Rating of the show: 8/10

Extra Notes:

  • This show had a lot of build up to Full Gear bringing interesting directions to the table.
  • MJF´s character progression this last 2 months has been more than the previous year and I think he needed that to be an undisputed main eventer.
  • FTR are the tag team of the year but Swerve In Our Glory will be remembered for AEW fans like Omega & Hangman, maybe not with the same highs of the Cowboy nor The Cleaner storyline BUT they have had really strong matches as well as storylines.
  • Where is Ricky Starks?
  • Where is Powerhouse Hobbs?
  • WHERE IS KONOSUKE TAKESHITA?
  • Does Bryan Danielson, Eddie Kingston and PAC are loosing their mind and turning to the dark side? Great, we need some heels in this promotion and all of the wrestlers mentioned are perfect for that role.
