MJF vs Wheeler Yuta (****1/4) MJF is a great grappler and mix that with Yuta´s top grappling it makes a grapplefuck? I personally don´t have that answer but this shit ruled. The postmatch was interesting because MJF have swerved us before on thinking to do something good. You can´t trust this son of a bitch.
Darby Allin vs Jay Lethal… I couldn´t watch the entire match because the discord guy left lol, final minutes were good.
Wardlow vs Brian Cage for the TNT Championship (****1/4) As I said in twitter, BEAST wrestling, two giants doing awesome high flying and beating the shit out of each other. This is what Wardlow and the TNT Championship needs.
Toni Storm, Willow Nightingale & Athena vs Jamie Hayter, Serena Deeb & Penelope Ford (****) What a pop for Jamie Hayter. Great match, one of the best in the AEW women´s division. Trios matches are really important for the energy of the shows and also help the women´s division too have great showings.
#NationalScissoringDay was close to be an all timer segment but Khan couldn’t stop himself to overbooked it even when I know is to build Acclaimed’s match vs Nese/Woods for a later date. Still tremendous stuff. Scissor Me, Daddy Ass!!!!!
Hangman Page vs Rush (***1/2) It was short but it was physical so I will take that. I guess they had to rewrite the entire feud because Andrade was the main feud vs Hangman going into Full Gear. There´s still a great match in them, a bloody one. Postmatch was Jon Moxley with a great face off with the cowboy, just greatness and energy all around.
Bryan Danielson & Daniel García vs Chris Jericho & Sammy Guevara (****) Great main event with all the heat a human could achieve. I would book a match between García and Guevara, put over Daniel to heat him up to a Championship match.
Rating of the show: 9/10
Extra Notes:
- This show felt HOT, and that hasn´t happened in a while. Maybe because the spanish broadcast (An all time bad broadcast) basically reduced the sound of the crowd in all the fucking shows and I couldn´t hear it but going by twitter´s reactions this crowd was great.
- Hangman and Mox went to the point and my excitement of the match went up. This is a big time match and it will deliver, but at what level is the question here. Can´t wait.
- MJF is great, Yuta is great. MJF is going with more heat into a World Championship situation, Yuta will enter a feud vs Moriarty. Great stuff all around.
- The women´s with the trios matches have put themselves over as a whole, that´s why I got pissed about the desastrous Saraya promo of last week. This match was so much better and actually makes the division better.
- I need more Ricky Starks in this shows.
- Wardlow delivered in his Championship match, I would personally like to see a match between him and Toa Liona. Again the same formula of two big men doing incredible shit.
- The Acclaimed is awesome, it has been tremendous to watch their growth.
