Claudio Castagnoli vs Chris Jericho for the ROH World Championship (***1/2) A fine match with some fun moments and some awkward ones, will be really interesting to see what´s next for Claudio and Jericho.
Swerve In Our Glory vs The Acclaimed for the AEW World Tag Team Championships (***3/4) The Acclaimed are so over that is stupid and great. Swerve In Our Glory were great champions too with good to great matches. The match have some awkward spots that keeped them far from been as great as the All Out match but the moment of The Acclaimed winning should be in any commercial and poster of AEW. I wouldn´t mind a 2 out of 3 falls match in some weeks.
Wheeler Yuta promo interrupted by MJF that received a tremendous pop, good face to face, a match for next week between this two should be fun.
PAC vs Orange Cassidy for the All Atlantic Championship (***1/4) More plotpoint than match, PAC cheated to win after not doing it for a long time. Alex Abrahantes clearly disagreed with PAC´s tactics will be interesting what the Lucha Bros say. (I added 1/4 to the rating because those DDT sells from PAC look brutal)
Toni Storm vs Britt Baker vs Athena vs Serena Deeb for the Interim AEW Women´s World Championship (***) Solid match with some interesting exchanges. Saraya (Former Paige in WWE) debuted after the match and she got a good reaction, I don´t have a really solid opinion on her but hopefully Tony Khan signs some Joshi wrestlers.
Jon Moxley vs Bryan Danielson for the AEW World Championship (****) They beat the shit out of each other between submission exchanges, pure BCC style match, I think it needed blood to get to the next level. Eventhough they overkilled it, showing MJF beneath the ring watching how Bryan and Mox kill each other knowing very well that he will get that Championship at the end is good shit.
Rating of the show: 8/10
Extra Notes:
- As I´ve been saying for a while Claudio has better use for midcard feuds and even when his matches as ROH Champion were great I prefer him in hot feuds. Same with Samoa Joe. They are +40 years old, perfect to get more people over and create stars.
- Moxley vs MJF will be a great match and a great build up, can´t wait.
- I wanted Danielson to win but I guess we will see him in January 4th for a big Championship match.
- Triángulo de la Muerte will explode? Maybe
- Please book MJF vs Wheeler Yuta for next week @TonyKhanAEW
- Who would have thought that The Acclaimed would be so over that Khan would be pushed to give them the Tag Belts and treat them as main stars, such a great story.
- Chris Jericho is the Ring Of Honor World Champion, the fuck?
