Biased Thoughts: AEW Collision #1

CM Punk´s promo to open the show and he did something really interesting, as well of carrying a belt that wasn´t shown to us BUT that I guess is that the AEW World Championship he has never lost.
Wardlow vs Luchasaurus for the TNT Championship (**1/2) Wardlow lost the belt via cheating. Luchasaurus could have something interesting but this Wardlow booking is weird and to be honest taking hostage a belt that could be serving better purposes.
Andrade El Ídolo vs Buddy Matthews (****) Some bold decisions on this one but absolutely worked, perfect match for Andrade´s return to AEW and I can´t wait for the LFI vs HOB feud and the possible tag and singles matches.
Miro vs Tony Nese (SQUASH) Good stuff from Miro´s comeback, the crowd reacted great to his stuff. What I find interesting is if he will be a babyface or a heel.
Skye Blue & Willow Nightingale vs Toni Storm & Ruby Soho (***) Feel good match with the babyfaces beating the heels in a very funny manner. I think the match for Forbidden Door will be Toni Storm vs Willow Nightingale, they have been able to keep momentum going for Willow after she beat Mercedes.
CMFTR vs Bullet Club Gold & Samoa Joe (****1/4) Felt big and specially the interactions between CM Punk and Samoa Joe were great, Punk can´t beat Samoa Joe, Joe is the one who always has his number and when they crossed paths in the ring. I would have liked something more but yeah, the main feud and I would say the potential main event of AEW All Out feels like it will be CM Punk vs Samoa Joe. Jay White and Juice Robinson vs FTR sounds that might be the feud but they have an association to The Gunns so I don´t really know what´s the plan for them, as I said before in my preview the main singles feuds for Collision will be Punk vs Joe and White vs Starks.
Rating of the Show: 8.5/10
For been the first show I needed something more, a closing angle would have really helped but this still was GREAT show and with tremendous moments mainly CM Punk and Samoa Joe interactions that has a lot of potential to be a really hot feud. Andrade really has potential as a babyface and I really liked the way he (Buddy too) sell the areas were they were injured.
Extra Notes:
- I don´t know what to think about this digs to The Elite but I guess if it´s for something down the line is ok that feud would be hot BUT if it´s for only throwing shots is completely stupid specially when Khan is trying to retain them and I want The Elite to stay in AEW just because I still want to see a lot of matches between them vs a lot of people in the roster that have CRAZY potential.

- Great to hear that Bullet Club Gold are really over, they haven´t been presented in the best way possible but their talent is making them one of the hottes stables in wrestling.
