AEW: The Future IS The Answer

I have a really bias opinion on this Punk/The Elite fight because The Elite is why I´m back at watching wrestling, Kenny Omega is my favourite wrestler of all time and Hangman Page for me is the main character of AEW.

MJF couldn´t have better timing to get not only the World Championship but also be the main protagonist spot of the show. Punk with the recent spat with The Elite I would say ruined the booking plans that Khan had for a long time.

I would outright fire Punk, dude is a huge merch seller and PPV draw but I would bite the bullet to not loose the main reason why this whole promotion could exist but also for the guy that drew ratings and sell tickets as champion like Hangman Page that remember, is only 31 years old.

Punk´s not gonna put over Hangman but he will put over MJF, the new yorker will be the perfect bridge to gain credibility from Punk and then put over Hangman and other new young guys.

And if you say to me that Hangman won´t be as over because he never defeated Punk, well that´s why there´s all time wrestlers in the late 30´s and early 40´s that have to put over the next generation. Tony Khan has Claudio, Mox, Samoa Joe, Chris Jericho to put him even more over as the ultimate babyface. The same goes to other young talents in the promotion.

There´s people ready to do the big jump to main event scene, is just for Khan to really pull the trigger. You can call me crazy but I think AEW can explode his popularity with new main eventers for the american TV audience.

Also AEW has the collection of the best younger/new wrestlers that you have to choose who will be the main eventers. Almost at a WCW level in the 90´s with their cruiserweight and midcard division.

My personal picks are these:

• MJF: Homegrown generational heel with critical and comercial succes in his feuds
• Hangman Page: The same arguments with MJF but in this case he´s the ultimate babyface.
• Ricky Starks: The main eventer who can make a great Heel/Babyface when is needed. Also is fresh new guy in US TV wrestling
• Konosuke Takeshita: His ties with The Elite could make great storylines that will draw money. His workrate and charisma are elite, a different type of main eventer in US TV wrestling. Another fresh new guy in US TV wrestling.

You can have your personal picks like Wardlow, Darby, Hobbs or Rush. The thing I want to set very clear is that AEW has enough young talent who can carry the main spots and putting the future in danger for a 43 year old egomaniac is not a good decision.
